
Jo and Sue's Reuben Balls with Spicy Thousand Island Dipping Sauce
Crispy, cheesy, and packed with classic Reuben flavors, these party-ready Reuben Balls come with a spicy dipping sauce for an extra zing!

- In a large bowl, mix together Swiss cheese, corned beef, sauerkraut, dijon mustard, and 1 tablespoon mayonnaise until well combined.
- Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet. Freeze for 15 minutes to firm up.
- Prepare breading station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and mix breadcrumbs and panko in a third.
- Dredge each ball in flour, dip into egg, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry balls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- For dipping sauce, mix together mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, hot sauce, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot Reuben balls with prepared spicy Thousand Island dipping sauce.
Notes
These freeze well — form and bread ahead of time, freeze, and fry from frozen until golden and hot throughout.
